Hey Jonny here, I'm the owner and one of the artists at Held for Ransom Tattoos. I got my first tattoo back in '94 and pretty much fell in love with tattoos and the industry instantly, getting my second tattoo the next week and I've never really stopped since!

I started tattooing professionally in 2017 after leaving the military. I enjoy doing most styles of tattoos but my real passion is blackout and heavy blackwork. Not everyone can see the beauty in solid black, but in my opinion that's what makes it so special!

MICKIE
Hi, I'm Mickie! I started my apprenticeship in March 2024, but prior to that I attended numerous tattoo conventions with Jonny as his assistant which gave me a bit of a heads up.
​
I'm keen to specialise in traditional and Sailor Jerry-style tattoos. I have a deep love and appreciation for bold lines, vibrant colours, and classic American imagery with a modern edge. I also love tattooing pop-culture characters/traditional mash-ups.

Don't be alarmed when you see everything is pink at my station - all bodies and genders are welcome!
